Jeanne Marie Deering, age 70, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 in Rowlett, Texas. She was born September 20, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Daniel and Naoma King. Jeanne was raised in Pleasant Grove, Texas and attended Samuell High School where she was a part of the drill team before having four daughters. She was an Equity Trading Assistant at Spyglass Trading Company where she worked for more than 40 years.
In her spare time Jeanne enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets. In her younger years, she enjoyed reading Stephen King books and visiting the beach. Jeanne wrote a play named "Double Wedding" and her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, genuine, loving mother. She was a great listener and a very sweet person. She was the best Mimi ever!
Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Naoma King; brother, Donald King and daughter, Melany Powers. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Amanda Powers and husband, Boyd of Royse City, Texas, Stacie Hayes and husband Matthew of Sachse, Texas and Chelsea Deering of Wylie, Texas; two sisters, Charisse Gates and husband, Geary of Pawleys Island, South Carolina and Carole Fallwell of Allen, Texas and one granddaughter, Chloe Hayes of Sachse, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Jeanne will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A committal service will occur Friday, October 7, 2022 at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228.
