

Jefferson (Jeff) H. Taylor, 87 years old of Dallas, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 6, 2016. He was born to Wyeth Jefferson Taylor and Katherine Louise Herman on Dec. 11, 1928 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He married Betty Jenkins in 1952 and they will soon have been married 64 years. He attended the University of Alabama and graduated from SMU in 1954 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He immediately was hired by Texas Instruments, working there for almost 25 years. During his tenure at TI, he also worked jointly with NASA creating what we now know as Anti-Locking Brakes. Upon “retirement”, he decided to start several more companies so to “slow down” in life. Along the way, he had numerous inventions and patents including the sound system for the MRI medical scanner which is still used today. Jeff served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War including some 40-50 aircraft deck landings. Jeff was a man of integrity, quick witted and compassionate to all people. He came to know his Lord and Savior at the age of 6, taught Sunday School for many years, and was a long time deacon at First Baptist Church of Dallas. Jeff is survived by his wife Betty and three children: Joe Taylor of Dallas, Lori Clem of Carrollton and John Taylor (and wife Valerie) of Dallas; four granddaughters: Lauren Collins, Holly Taylor, Wendy Taylor, and Katy Taylor; and two great grandchildren: Brooke Collins and Dustin Ketner.
