July 8, 1968 – November 5, 2016
Dallas, Texas
Jeffrey Todd Bleakley was born July 8, 1968 in Winter Park, Florida to William Bleakley and Mina Henry. Todd graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School in Oklahoma City where he was an active member of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 193, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a camper and later served as a youth counselor at Kanakuk Christian Summer Camp in Branson Missouri. Todd received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, Texas Delta Chapter.
After graduation, Todd embarked on a career in sales and marketing within the apparel, entertainment, publishing, non-profit and real estate industries. At times, his life and work called on him to travel extensively both within the United States and abroad, which engaged his natural curiosity and sense of adventure.
Todd was an avid fan of his beloved Oklahoma Sooners, cheering them on with loyal pride. His fierce sense of loyalty extended far beyond the football field to his family and the many friendships he fostered throughout his life. More than anything Todd loved bringing people together. He had few acquaintances as he counted all he knew among his friends.
Todd was passionately devoted to his family, whom he loved deeply. His spirit was enduring, contagious and quickly spread to those around him. He absorbed every drop of life and in return radiated its light onto those he knew and loved. He lived with fortitude, resilience and a grateful heart.
Todd is survived by his wife, Pilar, and his stepchildren, Miles and Zoe Hubbard, of Dallas, TX; his mother, Mina Henry and husband, Richard Daniello; father, Bill Bleakley and wife, Linda Meoli; brother, Chad Bleakley; and niece and nephew, Kendall Bleakley and Alex Bleakley of Oklahoma City.
A memorial service celebrating Todd’s life will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2016, at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas, Dallas, Texas.
