Jenci Jeno Kocsis , 64, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, October 24, 2011. He was born in Gyor, Hungary on January 27, 1947 to Imre Kocsis and Maria Csizmazia and immigrated with his family to the United States in 1957. He grew up in Dallas, TX. He married Patricia Schroeder on December 26, 1969, after they attended Bishop Lynch High School and Texas Tech University together. At Texas Tech, Jenci was a member of the 8th pledge class of Chi Rho Fraternity. He worked for DISD for 28 years in research and evaluation before retiring in 1999. Jenci is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Pamela Kocsis of Denver; Julie Sauceda and her husband, Pete, of San Marcos; Jenci Kocsis, and his wife, Tiffani, of Dallas; grandchildren, Maxwell Schutt; Sofia Sauceda and Kellen Kocsis; brother, Imre Kocsis; and sister, Marika Kocsis.
Rosary service will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, October 28 at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home and The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Calvary Hill Cemetery in the North Chapel.
