Jennie “Jane” Gaetana Fischer Brown was born on August 18, 1921 in Boston, Massachusetts to Flavia & Orazio Fischer who were both born in Italy. Jennie had 9 siblings (6 brothers & 3 sisters).
It was at a double date that she met her beloved Roy C. Brown, a Navy man from Texas. Roy & Jane married on September 6, 1948. Roy was a Master Electrician along with his dad and brothers. Roy brought Jane to Texas where they had three daughters – Anna, Cathriene, and Mary. The family lived in Oak Cliff until 1963, then moved to the White Rock Lake area where they lived for several years. The couple wanted their children to see America. Both were proud of this beautiful country. Roy would plan road trips to Boston every year to visit Jane’s family. Sometimes directly from Texas but most times Roy and Jane would take a different way, camping along the way. Time moves forward and life continues, the kids grow… Christopher Scott Strange was born to Cathriene in 1975. Anna married Bill Hunt in 1975. Mary married Stephen Shellenberger in 1979. Cathriene married Robert Sturtevant in 1989. Jane was active in her church, the kid’s schools, a busy homemaker, a great aunt and devoted wife and mother. Jennie lost her beloved husband of almost 60 years in 2008 but she joined him with our Lord early Sunday, July 24, 2022.
