To my dear friends/family. It's hard to come up with words to tell you how sad it was for me to hear of Jermont's passing. It seems only yesterday that we were attending  his high school  graduation. 

May  GOD give you all strength  during the days ahead.

My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to your family.  Jermont was not just a co-worker but a friend.  Our mains conversations came the minute I told him I was a Dallas Cowboys fan.  I would share my experiences from coming out to Dallas for my first home game and he would always say that maybe he'd be home visiting and we could catch a game if we were there at the same time.  I regret that didn't happen.  
He will be missed.

I’m so grateful for the wisdom you shared, the laughter we exchanged, the honest conversations—and of course, the tea! From the California memories to your cheerful “Heyyy cousin” good mornings, every moment was a gift. You truly were a gem. Rest well, my friend. Your light lives on.

Rest in peace my dear friend. You will always be considered family to me. We worked together for 21 years at the City of Raleigh. I enjoyed all the conversations and laughter that we shared together. To the family you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Jermont ( My Clessie),
     I told you one day that I was going to start calling you Clessie, because I was reminded of you when I read Ecclesiastes. I told you that I felt that Ecclesiastes was a book in the bible that I felt was straight to the point, it holds nothing back when it comes to informing you about the realities of life, no matter how hard it may be to read it. That is one of the blessings I got from you. You were always straight to the point, no matter how hard it may have been to hear your point, you were always honest with me, truthful. Your reason behind this was that you cared, and you wanted to guide me in the right direction, rather than seeing me fail. You were always honest with me. In return, you decided to call me Esther, Essie-Lee when you wanted to tell me how it is or Essie-Mae when someone got on your nerves. You always made me laugh, but when you were serious, I knew to listen.  You guided me, you taught me, you preached to me, listened to me when I was crying/sad, and even when I doubted myself. Texting you every week was not hard for me, it was not a task to see how you were doing, it was to let you know how important you were to me. You were more than my friend at work, you were that shoulder to cry on, that voice to listen to when I needed encouragement, you were those open arms when I needed assurance ("You got this, Esther"). It was a joy to hear you talk about your niece, and a blessing to hear about the wisdom you received from your grandmother. Clessie, this is hard. But I am reminded that this is a part of life, no matter how difficult this is to experience. However, I know that you are now happy and at peace. You are home with the Lord now. Love and miss you.

I had the privilege of beginning my journey with Jermont in 2007, when I was hired into his Planning Department and he trained me as a Planning Tech. Over the years, we shared many laughs and special moments—especially when he proudly shared pictures of his beloved niece, whom he adored.
I am truly saddened by his passing. This is a profound loss for our department and for all who had the honor of knowing him.
To his family, I pray that God blesses you with the peace that surpasses all understanding. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
