Jerry Ann Day

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jerry Ann Day, 78, of Scurry, TX, on June 7, 2025. Jerry's life would seem too short to many. Those of us who were blessed to be touched by her, understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. A beloved grandmother, mother, and wife, Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was known for her warm smile and unwavering support and was cherished by her family and friends.

Born in Dallas on November 6, 1946. She spent her first 50 years in the Urbandale neighborhood. In High School, she met the love of her life and eventual husband, John Day. They married on April 25, 1964, and had their only child, Johnny, on January 22, 1967. She spent most of her days working at Becknell Wholesale, where she worked until her retirement. Her true joy in life was being the best mom/grandmother possible.

Surviving her are her son, Johnny Day, his wife, Mellisa; her grandchildren, Christine Marie and Cadi JoAnn; and her great grandDOG Iria .

Jerry was predeceased in death by her husband, John Wesley Day; her brother, Cecil (Junior) Boone and her mother, Geraldine Jolley.

A visitation for Jerry will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will occur from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A committal will follow 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM
