

Jerry Itzig, a devoted husband, lifelong learner, and lover of life’s simple pleasures, was born on September 28, 1943. He passed leaving behind a legacy of warmth, curiosity, and deep affection for those around him.
Jerry shared a beautiful and enduring marriage with his beloved wife, Bonnie Itzig. The two were married on December 26, 1970, and built a life filled with partnership, laughter, and shared passions. Together, they co-owned Cavallini Coffee, a venture that reflected their mutual love of community, conversation, and great coffee.
Jerry was a man of intellect and curiosity. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University and went on to complete his Master’s degree at Texas Christian University. His love of learning never faded—he could often be found with a good book in hand, always eager to explore new ideas and stories.
He truly embraced life and all it had to offer. Jerry had a passion for travel, especially cruises, where he delighted in discovering new places and experiences. A self-proclaimed foodie, he relished trying new cuisines and sharing meals with those he loved. In quieter moments, he found joy in bird watching and had a deep affection for animals, reflecting his gentle and observant nature.
Those who knew Jerry will remember his kind spirit, his appreciation for the world around him, and his unwavering love for his wife, Bonnie. His presence brought comfort, conversation, and joy, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jerry’s life was a testament to love, curiosity, and living fully. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Yvonne Itzig. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Itzig, and his brother, Charles Itzig Jr. and nieces Wendy, Susan and Amy.
