

Jerry Pink, a dedicated educator, world traveler, and beloved father, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. He was born on August 28, 1944, in Wichita Falls, TX, to Philip Louis Pink and Sibyl Cohen Pink., and was the youngest of four brothers.
Jerry earned his Bachelor of Arts from Texas Wesleyan College and spent several years in the fabric business. Following his certification as a teacher, he embarked on a rewarding career as a teacher with the DoDDS schools. Over his career, he taught middle and high school students in a variety of subjects, including English, Speech, Drama, Social Studies, and History. His work took him across the globe to places like Yongsan, South Korea; Misawa, Japan; Subic Bay, Philippines; Würzburg, Mannheim, Landstuhl, and Heidelberg, Germany; and Incirlik, Turkey. Jerry retired from teaching after years of inspiring and educating countless students.
Known for doing things his way, Jerry left an indelible impression on all who knew him. Friends and colleagues who traveled with him always walked away with lasting stories. Beyond his professional life, he was a life master bridge player, found joy in movies, eating good food, playing bridge, and spending time with his beloved dogs. His love for animals and his adventurous spirit were defining parts of his character.
Jerry is survived by his two adopted sons, Stan and Evan, as well as 11 cherished nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Sibyl, as well as his three brothers: Dr. Louis F. Pink, Harold D. Pink, and Dr. Erwin G. Pink.
A small ceremony will be held, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Humane Society of Wichita County in Jerry’s memory to honor his love for dogs.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
