Jerry had a fatherly influence on my life during the years his son, Ken and I attended college and roomed together in the mid to late 1980's. I was always welcomed into their home, and Jerry, Kris and Kathy always made me feel a part of the family. I still laugh to myself some days, recalling many of the one liners he delivered to Ken and me when we returned for weekend visits from college. Jerry's generosity with his time and money to help me through college will always hold a place in my heart. He was 'no strings attached' and his giving was always 'anonymous'.  My life, as everyone else's has been enriched tenfold by having the honor to share and be a part of this very big and honorable man's life. I look forward to meeting and seeing the family and friends at his memorial, and verbally express the gratitude I have for Big Jerry.

Jerry, you made me laugh so hard some times, I thought I'd break in two!  You have been a great friend and colleague and those of us whom you touched with your humor and smile are all the better for knowing you.  You had a phenomenal talent for so many things and I think we all had much to learn from you. I will miss you, Jerry.  My heardfelt sympathy goes to the Rose Family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jerry was a great man who always was looking out for others.  He was an amazing mentor to my husband Chris Kutter and a great friend to our family.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  He was a force larger than life and I know Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I have a long and colorful history with Jerry Rose, and I can attest to the fact that he was, indeed, one of a kind.  He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched, and I extend my heartfelt sympathy to his family.

Our paths crossed 30 years ago and from the moment I met Jerry, I realized immediately he was one of a kind.  He was a fierce competitor, a man of principle, 5 years later, my boss for a decade, and my friend for life.  Jerry, you taught me more about life and our profession than you will ever know and you truly will be missed but never forgotten.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.

I have had the honor and privilege to have known and done business with Jerry for more than 40 years. I consider him to be a Friend, Mentor and Business Partner. His honesty and integrity could not be compromised. His loyalty to his friends was fierce. He always went to battle for what causes he believed in and never backed down for what was right. There will never be another Jerry Rose. We will miss you Brother.

My prayer for Jerry Rose!( Words I believe he lived by)

"Lord, as I stumble through this life, help me to create more laughter than tears, dispense more happiness than gloom, and spread more cheer than despair.  Never let me become so indifferent that I will fail to see the wonder in the eyes of a child or the twinkle in the eye of the aged.  Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people, make them happy, and forget, at least for a moment, all the unpleasant things in their lives.  And, Lord, in my final moment, may I hear You whisper, “When you made My people smile, you made Me smile”.

I've the good fortune to know Jerry for 50 years both as a business associate and friend. He is truly one of a kind. He did so much for others behind the scene that few knew of as that's the way he wanted it. I always have known that if I needed help I could always go to Jerry. So few knew this side of him. Life is realized in a life time, not measured in duration but in experiences and companionship.  Jerry Rose had a rich life time.  I worked with Jerry for over a decade and enjoyed his wit, guitar prowess, professionalism, and friendship.  Jerry always had time to visit with his Aon "Actuarial friend".  His presence will be missed but the memory will always be preserved.

I only knew Jerry for a little over six years and I felt like a friend from the first day I met him.  His jokes and humor were well known thru the industry and he was loved by all.   While getting to know Jerry I realized early on that he always took the road less traveled by….maybe that made all the difference for him!  Jerry you will always have a place in my heart and will be thought of often!

I am indeed fortunate to have known a man of such fine character and strong principles. A true professional in his work and a good friend whom I will truly miss. My deepest sympathy goes out to all his family, loved ones and friends.

Jerry may have provided contractors insurance and bonding but he added mentoring, wisdom, and friendship throughout the process.  He will be greatly missed but we will all recall so many strong memories of a smart and good man.

Im deeply saddened by Jerry's passing. Our firm has done business with Jerry for two decades. Jerry was one of the last old school contractor types that remained in this business. We loved doing business with him and will miss him greatly!

Jerry Rose was one of a kind. There is no better example of what our industry prizes in a man. Tough, honest, smart, caring, dedicated and honorable are the words that come to mind when I think of Jerry. In the thirty years that I have had the privilege of working with him I can say that I could not respect anyone more. He was a treasure and credit to his and our industry and we now have a void that cannot be filled. He was our colleague and friend and we will miss him very much. On behalf of myself and my entire family I pass our heartfelt condolences to Kris and the family. We mourn the loss of our friend but celebrate his life and know he is enjoying his earned reward.

Six years ago Jerry asked me to join him at Aon so that I could "carry on" with his surety accounts.  Our mutual friend Chris Kutter carried that torch before he passed away and I felt privileged that Jerry would have the same type of trust and confidence as he did with Chris.
I need to tell you that I have heard from so many of his clients that are sadden to hear about your passing.  Though in the same breath they are smiling because of the valued memories Jerry left us with.
On Monday evening, I visited with Jerry at the hospital to pay my heartfelt respects to my friend and fellow colleague.  I was struck at how peaceful he appeared and that gave me comfort and courage. In the six years I worked with Jerry, his genuine and passionate personality is unmatched and his stories are lengendary.
I am proud to have known and worked with Mr. Jerry Rose.  My condolences for your loss.

I will sorely miss our many conversations throughout the week.  Talks filled with many antics, and even the occassional rants.  Jerry has touched the lives and hearts of many.  It's been a pleasure working with him.

My heart is truly breaking at the news.  Jerry you were a light on a dark day.  You were the loud voice I heard from my cube at work.  You were the man full of life and jokes.
