He was born and raised in Waxahachie, Texas. He attended Marvin Elementary and Waxahachie High School. He was a World War II Veteran who served in the Philippines and earned two Purple Hearts for his bravery. He married Esther Barrientos from Dallas, TX August 20, 1949. He worked for Alford’s Refrigerated Warehouse for 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Esther Diaz, parents, Jose and Sira Díaz from Waxahachie and a brother Angel Díaz (Grace) from Dallas.
He is survived by his three sons: Jesse Díaz, Jr. (Vickie), Steven R. Díaz, and Frank A. Díaz; three grandchildren: Ricky Díaz (Amy), Christopher Díaz (LeAnn), Jessica Mosier (Anthony); 8 great grandchildren: Angel Díaz, Melissa Díaz, Logan Díaz, Angelea Díaz, Megan Díaz, Adisen Díaz, Ava Mosier, and Gavin Mosier; numerous loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He will be extremely missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with the holy rosary being recited at 7:00pm in the Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Calvary Hill Main Mausoleum Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00am. Rite of Committal will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery at 11:00am, with full military honors.
