

Also known as Chuy by many family members and friends, Jesse moved to Dallas, TX where he met the love of his life and married to Amelia Garcia in May 1960.
He is survived by his wife Amelia Garcia and his siblings Marcos Garcia, Lupe Garcia, Elodia Zavala, Rosa Nunez and Anita Rojas and his children Eva Ruiz, Jesse Garcia Jr, Ann Margaret Lira, Jonathan Garcia, Mary Jessica Arango, and Paul Garcia. His son in laws Alex Lira and Gary Brown and his daughter in laws Brenda Garcia, Annette Garcia, and Nora Roman.
Jesse has 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, Juan Garcia and Anita Lopez Garcia, his brother Paul Garcia, Juana Munoz, Juan Garcia Jr, son in law Allen Taylor and grandson Allen Taylor.
He gave his life to God at the age of 41. In his early years he worked as a cotton picker and went to work as a foreman for Beth and Hayes, before retiring from masonry at the age of 70.
Jesse enjoyed traveling with his brother Lupe and their band “La Familia en Cristo” for many years. After retirement Jesse enjoyed playing his accordion and guitars, reading his bible daily and preaching the word about God.
Jesse was a very serious man that did not like to play and if it was not about God or work he did not have time for it.
He was also a man that would give his shirt off his back if you were a person in need with no hesitation or questions asked.
His last wishes was for his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren and his family to repent and to serve the Lord, so that one day we could all meet again in heaven.
