Jesus Alvarado Escobar, age 52, passed away on Oct. 25, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. He was born January 1968, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Jesus and Juana Alvarado. Jesus was raised in Dallas, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He served as an altar boy at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church throughout his childhood. He worked at various locations before finding his niche as a warehouse manager at Better for Brothers, an electrical company created and operated by the diligent efforts of the Alvarado brothers. In his various roles throughout his lifetime as eldest son, brother, husband, father, godfather, uncle, and friend, he led with compassion and gave his big heart away unconditionally. Oftentimes, he personally sacrificed time and self to support others without a forethought and never expected anything in return. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends at home for special occasions, holidays, and mostly to share his enthusiasm for international soccer games and the Dallas Cowboys. His family and friends will remember him as a friendly person with a joyful disposition and extremely helpful on a moment’s notice. He is known as “la alegria de la familia” (the joy of the family). Jesus had a gift for telling funny stories and living life to the fullest. He is survived by: his son, Jesus Alvarado, Jr.; his daughter, Katie Alvarado; his brothers, Enrique, Emilio, San Miguel, Luis, and Juan Jose; and his sisters, Carmen, Betty, Rosy, and Alma. He is preceded in death by: his grandparents, Jesus and Carmen Alvarado, Victor and Alberta Escobar; his aunt, Julia Aranda; and his uncle, Bruno Escobar.
