Jesus Ortiz Barrera

Jesus was born at 10am on December 16, 1949 at home in Falfurrias, Texas. He is proceeded in death by his mother Fidela Ortiz Cobos, his father Felipe Cobos, mother-in-law Clara Garcia, his ex-common-law wife Dianna Garcia of 21 years, His granddaughter Gilianna Valdez, His baby sister Linda Cobos. His brothers David Garcia, Joe Frank Torres, Leo Torres, Umberto Cobos and Nicho Cobos.

He is survived by his Brothers Alfred Tullos, Maria Jose Lara and Benny Lopez. His sisters Christelia Barrera, Trinidad Rios and Maria Aguirre. His girlfriend Mary Gomez.

He is also survived by his daughters Tommie Garcia, Clara Garcia and Randy Gutierrez, Connie Ayala and Abraham Serna, Lisa Barrera and Chris Jones, Yolanda Rodriguez and Hijinio Rodriguez, Jr. He is survived by his 12 grandchildren – Jesse Ray Barrera, Amber Barrera, Mariah Garcia, Rene Lopez, Mason Gutierrez, Ashley Gutierrez, Allanah Ayala, Luis Jay Ayala, Jesse A. Gutierrez, Aaron Serna, Trinity Serna, Mila Gutierrez and 7 great grandkids – Anali Lopez, Anahi Lopez, Allison Barrera Zamora, Yuritzi Garcia, Gabe Gonzalez, Josiah Gutierrez and Annalise Gutierrez.

He was a funny guy who loved to sing out his sentences. And LOVED his of movies. Those who knew him knew of his boxes and boxes of movies. He had more movies than stuff. Until he was old enough to retire, he was a hard-working man who was always busy doing something. He would build stuff from scratch and always made it look beautiful. He loved his family deeply and was a great friend, even to strangers. And whenever help was needed, if he could do it, he would and if he had it was yours. He will be GREATLY missed.
