Jimmie Key Henson was born on August 9, 1935 in Roscoe, TX to Ralph B. and Allene Robinson Henson. He grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, TX. He was a retired security officer. Jim was also a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS Lexington aircraft carrier. After his time in the military, he was a reserve officer for the Dallas County sheriff’s department. He enjoyed fishing, singing, writing and spending time at “The Mountain” in Canton, TX.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Jimmy Henson; daughter, Wendy Kennard and husband Jimmy; two grandsons, Andrew and Kyle Kennard; brother, Kenneth Henson and wife Dorothy and numerous nieces and nephews.
