Jimmie Lee Crenshaw II was born on July 20, 1953, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Jimmie Lee Crenshaw and Jewel Marie Crenshaw.
Jimmie graduated from Waxahachie High School on June 5, 1971. A few years later, he served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge in 1974.
On January 26, 1974, Jimmie married the love of his life, Doris Woodard Crenshaw. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, laughter, and cherished memories. Their union was blessed with three children: one son, Jimmie Lee Crenshaw III, and two daughters, Kimberly Shonta Crenshaw Jones and Christina Denise Crenshaw.
Throughout the years, Jimmie worked at various car dealerships before retiring in 2023.
Jimmie was a truly unforgettable man. His faith, devotion to family, sense of humor, and unique personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him. He was deeply loved, and his presence brought something special to the lives of those around him.
Above all, Jimmie loved his family. His wife, children, and grandchildren held a special place in his heart. The love he shared with them and the memories they created together will remain treasured by those who knew him. His family will continue to carry his love, his lessons, and his memory with them in the days ahead.
Jimmie also had a wonderful and unforgettable sense of humor. He loved The Beatles, and one of his favorite ways to make people laugh was by putting on his best fake English accent and proudly telling everyone that he was from England. His jokes, stories, laughter, and unmistakable accent brought joy to those around him. These memories, filled with his warmth and personality, will be remembered with smiles even through the tears.
Jimmie passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 73.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Doris Crenshaw; his three children, Jimmie Lee Crenshaw III, Kimberly Crenshaw Jones (Spouse Quinton Jones) , and Christina Crenshaw; and a host of grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings: Sheryl Cash and her husband, Jessie Cash; Elaine Johnson; Karen Crenshaw; Phillip Crenshaw; Steven Crenshaw; Rita Crenshaw; Juandra Crenshaw; and Stuart Crenshaw and his wife, Kailah Crenshaw.
He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor his memory and carry his legacy forward.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Lee Crenshaw and Jewel Marie Crenshaw, and his brother, Barry Crenshaw.
Though his passing has left a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved him, Jimmie’s life and influence will continue through the many people he touched. His faith, his love for his family, his laughter, his love of music, and his unforgettable personality will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
