Jim was raised in Dallas, Texas where he met the love of his life, Wanda, in eighth grade. They married in 1967 and he enlisted in the Navy in 1968. In 1969, he was stationed in California on Coronado Island in the Naval Special Warfare Group Pacific. The first of three children, Eric, was born in 1970. Tina, the only daughter, followed in 1971. They and their kids left California that summer and moved back to Texas at Kingsville Air Force Base until Jim left the Navy in 1972. They moved to Grand Prairie, Texas to raise their family and welcomed Greg, the second son, in 1976. Jim worked for Southwestern Bell and then moved to AT&T and later retired from Lucent Technologies in 2004. In early retirement, he enjoyed landscaping and chauffeuring at the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine, Texas. He also loved spending time with his beloved six grandchildren, they were the light of his life. Later, Jim and Wanda enjoyed traveling around the country in their RV. They had many great adventures and loved exploring together. Jim was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a very full life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
