Jimmie D Jenkins went to be with his lord and savior on October 21, 2019. He was 97 and a resident of Dallas Texas for over 70 years, he died gently of complications after suffering a stroke. Jimmie Jenkins was born in Riley Springs, Texas on October 19,1922 at home. Jimmie had a long and successful career in Sales for over 40 years at Smith Furniture. He loved to be outdoors and took great pride in working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha L McDonald Jenkins and Thomas O Jenkins, his son Jimmie Allen Jenkins, and brothers Donald Jenkins, Dale Jenkins, Billy Jenkins and Sisters Christine Jennings and infant sisters. He is survived in death by his daughters from his former wife Wanda Edwards , Lara D Ann Honeycutt (David ) and Pam Cox, 4 grandchild, Pamela M Dirk(Robert), Kim Cox, Chris Honeycutt( Jill) and Chad Honeycutt ,10 great grandchildren, Michael Dirk, Whitney Cox, Ashley Dirk, Meghan Dirk, Mathew Dirk, Tyler Honeycutt, Kylie Honeycutt, Caleb Honeycutt, Abigail Honeycutt and Hannah Honeycutt, Brother Kenneth Jenkins, and sister JoAnn Venable and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Tuesday October 26, 2019, with viewing from 1:00 pm to 2:00pm, directly followed by a family graveside service at Sparkman/Hillcrest of Dallas, Texas.

I loved going down to the country and running and playing on my Papa's land he had in Sulphur Springs. It was my best times with him and he taught me about country living and pride for that way of life. I Love you so much and I will see you in Heaven. Thank you Jesus for giving me my PaPa for 49 years.
