Jimmie Jesse Rico Sr.

Jimmie Jesse Rico, Sr. age 86, passed away on October 3, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on April 8, 1934 in Dallas to the late Feliz and Manuel Rico. Jimmie was raised in East Dallas and attended Crozier Tech High School. He then married Maria T. Torres and the couple had three children. He was a jet Engine Mechanic at Availl where he worked for more than 32 years. In his spare time Jimmie loved to eat his wife's cooking, and spending time in his backyard. They both enjoyed listening to music and going out for breakfast. Jimmie and his wife also enjoyed going to estate and garage sales where he often showcased his negotiating skills. His family and friends will always remember him as a man who was devoted to his family. He is preceded in death by his parents Feliz and Manuel Rico; Hortencia Salazar, Manuel Rico, and his beloved wife Maria T. Torres Rico. Jimmie is survived by children Melissa Rico, Jimmie J. Rico Jr., Phyllis Lorene Rico, and Marcos Rico. He is also survived by his grandchildren Vanessa Gallegos, Zachary Rico Alonzo, Nicholas Rico, Joseph Rico, Cynthia Gonzales, Brianna Gonzales and Xavier (Nacho) Gonzales.
