Jo Denise Wade

Jo Denise Carson Wade (“Jody"), was born on October 4, 1953, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Orbra (“Kit”) Carson and Nora Elizabeth Carson. Jody attended public schools in Dallas, graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1971. She continued her education graduating from The Executive Secretarial School of Dallas. Her career began as an Administrator with the Texas State Commission of the Blind. Later, she was employed for over 14 years at ENSERCH Corporation in the Finance and Legal Departments. In 2001, she began work as an Administrative Assistant at The Meadows Foundation in the Grants Department. Jody was loved, respected and admired by the Foundation Staff.

After a brief illness, Jody entered into her eternal resting place on October 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by her dad, Kit Carson.

Jody is survived by her mother, Nora Elizabeth Carson; daughter, Heather Renee Wade (Jesse); son, Jacob Dewayne Wade; sister, Kitrena Harrison; granddaughters Jaylin Rayne Arnold and Ashlyn Grace Arnold, who were the love of her life; niece Tanya (Josh); nephew Gregory (Amber); great-nieces Teagan, Jordyn and Charlotte; great-nephews Xander and Zachary; and “Bear,” her beloved rescued pet along with a host of cousins, friends and co-workers. Those who knew Jody were honored and blessed to be a part of her life.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 721 Wallace Street, Garland, TX 75041.
