

Joan Margaret (Weber) Craft, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the age of 91 at her residence in Carrollton, Texas. She was born February 27, 1933, in Buffalo, New York, to Vincent Weber and Margaret (Biebel) Weber. She was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband, Daniel Francis Craft, whom she married on December 26, 1953, in Buffalo, New York; sisters Carol Iacono (Tony) and Jeanne Czech (Dean); and brother Gerald Weber (Mary Ann). She is survived by her daughters Siobhan Craft Brownson (Lee); Maureen Pittman; and Dineen Craft Corden (Joe); grandchildren Laura Hogensen, Patrick Brownson (Katie), Sarah Rowell (Eugene), Courtney Emerick (Sam), and Shelby Pittman; three great grandchildren; and brother, Paul Weber (Carol). She was an engaged member of St. Rita Catholic Church for forty years, serving as a Eucharistic minister at church and in weekly services at Treemont Nursing Home. She was also an active community service supporter, volunteering at Reading for the Blind and knitting caps and blankets for local hospital newborns. Joan spent the last half of her life in Dallas and became an enthusiastic supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. She loved celebrating holidays and the changing seasons and was known for her large collection of decorative flags. Her family and friends will miss her loving, cheerful, and generous nature. A private memorial service and private interment were celebrated on January 29, 2025. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial bequest to the American Cancer Society.
