She was the second of 4 sisters, born November 26, 1935, in Oklahoma City to Robert and Faye Kelly. After graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1953, she remained in Oklahoma City, where she worked as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Gaylord Publishing.
In 1964, she moved to Dallas and the following year married Robert K. Robinson. In 1973 she helped him found the family business, coming up with the name which continues to this day; Signal Metal Industries.
She was a devoted mother to their two boys, always keeping pace with their frenetic schedules, but also ensuring that she passed on to them the importance of caring, compassion and discipline that she learned from her parents.
Her other passion was the East Texas Ranch that she and Rob built over more than 35 years, drawing many of the early building plans herself using a ruler and graph paper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Jeanne Patterson, Daisy Norwood, and Karen Baker; and her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert.
She is survived by her sons, Robby, and his wife Kelly; and Ryan, and his wife Carrie, all of Dallas. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Ford Robinson, and his wife Deery, Kate Robinson, Rachel Robinson, Julia Robinson, Danielle MacDonald, her husband Scott; and her great-grandchildren, Trinity and Orion MacDonald. She is also survived by grandchildren Bryan Robinson, Sarah Robinson Caputo, and Austin Robinson.
