Joan was born November 5, 1947 in New Bedford, Massachusetts and passed away August 25, 2011 in Mesquite, TX. She is survived by her husband, Billy I. Watson of Mesquite, TX; children, Diane McCarter, Tracy Veach, Philip Johnson, Kendra Johnson; step-son, Billy Slade Watson; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and sister, Irene Hill. Graveside services will be Monday, August 29, 2011 at 1:15 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
