Born in Great Neck, NY to Charles and Stella Usewick. Predeceased by her husband of 51 years Louis Zielinski. Survived by her 5 brothers and sisters, her children, Tom Zielinski and Carol Anderson, and her husband, Dave Anderson. And her grandchildren Lauren Zielinski, Patrick Anderson, Jonathan Zielinski and Jaclyn Anderson. Joan’s children and her grandchildren were the treasures in her life and she deeply loved each one of them. At St. Rita Catholic Church she was active in Intermezzo’s, Holy Spirit Circle and the Bread Ministry. She was also active in the North Dallas Women’s Club. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5th at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 at St. Rita Catholic Church.
