Born 4/22/24 in New Market, Ala. and passed 12/10/16 in Dallas, Tx. A funeral service will be held on 12/16/16 at 12:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on 12/15/16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home. He is survived by Lois, his loving wife of 70 yrs., daughters Janice, Rena and Paula, grandchildren Alaina, Joel and Chance, great grandchildren Grayson and Elijah, sister Mary Thornton and brother Raymond Fanning, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by daughter Glenda, grandson Cory, his parents, 6 sisters and 3 brothers. He attended Grace Temple Baptist Church for 68 yrs., was a 32nd degree Mason for 60+ yrs. in Oak Cliff Lodge #705 and a member of Loyal Chapter #648 Order of the Eastern Star for 40+ yrs. As a truck driver for the railroad, he was a wonderful husband and dad, a godly man, spiritual leader, and a loyal friend. His contagious sense of humor was fun for everyone.
