Joe Robert Tovar

Joe Robert Tovar was born in Dallas, Texas to Louis Tovar and Rosa Lara. Joe was retired and enjoyed spending time at WinStar as often as he could, he also had a lifelong love of sports especially for the Dallas Cowboys, his love for the Dallas Cowboys was legendary among family and friends, he proudly wore the star every season.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Rosa Tovar, his son Joe Robert Tovar, Jr., sisters Vivian Montero and Eve Pasternak and brother Tony Tovar.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Rosemary Tovar Mendoza, Eva Tovar, Norma Tovar, Sylvia Martinez of Laredo, TX, and Sonia Martinez (half-sister); grandchildren: Monica Wolff, Priscilla Romero, Veronica Lopez, Vanessa Mendoza, Michelle Tovar, Christopher Villarreal; great grandchildren: Brianna Lopez, Amaris Lopez, Aaliyah Mendoza, Isabella Romero, Genesis Gutierrez, Gabby Castillo, Mia Romero, Jonathan Gutierrez, Nancy Ludlow, Sean Wolff, Alyssa Wolff; sisters: Mary Helen DiLiberto and Consuelo Tovar, D.C.; sister-in-law: Dominga Tovar; brothers: Louis (Minerva) Tovar, Richard (Elva) Tovar, Thomas (Hilda) Tovar, David (Sylvia) Tovar, Arthur (Vickie) Tovar And numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial for Joe will be held April 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at National Cathedral Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2215 Ross Ave, Dallas, Texas 75201.
