John "Price" Daniel born to Bud and Bonnie Daniel of Wichita Falls, TX on January 23, 1949 and will now celebrate his eternal birthday in heaven on December 31, 2017. He will be sadly and sorely missed by his loving family.
Price, whom his daughter affectionately called "Griswold", will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and dedication to his golf game.
A beloved son, brother and uncle. He was also a devoted husband and father who’s kindness enriched all who knew him. His wife and daughter will always consider him a hero.
Price is survived in legacy by his wife of 45 years, Stella, Daughter Stephanie, sisters, in-laws, and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He lived a lively and colorful life, working summers on his aunt's farm, as a Waco Police Officer, Football coach in Wichita Falls, successful owner of MultiCare Nurses Home Heath in Richardson, but ultimately his greatest achievement was role as husband and father.
Price loved a well-manicured golf course, Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, Amazon, Whataburger, scotch and a good cigar. Not necessarily in that order. He hated dental work and having to take a Mulligan. And not necessarily in that order.
Diabetes was the nemesis he courageously battled for most of his life. The disease took its toll on his body requiring multiple surgeries including a Kidney transplant, removal of his gallbladder, addition of a pacemaker, and the loss of his leg. But you could be sure he was going to use all of this in his arsenal of jokes. After all if anyone could make light of such seriousness, it was him.
Price was a master story teller. And you could be sure 50% of every story was truthful. You just never knew which 50%.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3pm on Friday, January 19, 2018.
