

He graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School and attended the University of Texas in Austin. He worked in Dallas until disability retirement. Thereafter, John supported his father in his Dallas law practice.
John was a kind and gentle soul who loved animals. He was a skilled commercial beekeeper, a good listener, and a prolific reader of history. He especially liked WWII history because of his veteran father's service in the Burma Theater. He was a decades long sponsor of many children in poverty through World Vision.
John is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister Vicki Johnson and many cousins and friends.
A graveside burial service for John will be held at 2:00 PM, February 26 at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, with Pastor Steve Stigall officiating.
