

John Oliver (Jack) Langdon, 63, of University Park, TX, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Arlington Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born in Newport News, Virginia on December 5, 1948 to Col. Wendell H. and Celeste Archambault Langdon. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where he was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Alamo Heights High School. He then received a B.A. from the University of North Texas before serving as a lieutenant in the United States Army. Following his military service he obtained a J.D. with honors from the Law School at the University of Texas at Austin in 1973 and also received an L.L.M. from New York University in 1975. He served as a partner in the legal firm of Goins, Underkofler, Crawford, and Langdon.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Ellie, daughters Barbara and Rachael, son John Jr., grandchildren Abby, Kate, and Molly Springs, and first wife Pamela H. Langdon. He is also survived by his brother Wendell Langdon Jr. and his wife, Gracie, brother-in-law Gordon Clark and his wife Jeris, sister-in-law Pipi Clark, nieces Wendee Langdon and Julie Clark, and nephews Wendell Langdon III and Mickey Clark

The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 7th at Hillcrest Memorial Park, followed by a memorial celebration at noon at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Chapel, 7405 W.
