Johnnie "Gonzo" Marez

He married Maria Louise Rodriguez in Dallas and the couple had seven children. Johnnie was a self employed handyman of all trades. In his spare time he enjoyed reading a variety of books. He also enjoyed all types of music. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, caring and with a sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John (Chon) Marez and Petra Perez; son, Johnny Marez Jr. and loving life partner, Adela Martinez. He is survived by his children, Rose Mary Marez, Yvonne Marez, Diane Marez, Monica Marez, Christina Marez and Isaac Guevara; sisters, Delores Marez Zamora and Maria Marez; brother, Martin "Bozo" Marez; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Johnnie was very grateful for his uncle and Aunt, Jesse and Betty Vela. They were there for him his last few days. Rest in Peace, Johnnie Marez!

A visitation for Gonzo will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247, followed by a rosary from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
