

Johnny R. Gee was born in 1947 to Bertha Lee and Orin Gee in the vibrant town of Henderson, Texas. His early years were spent in a nurturing environment, where he became a devoted member of the Mount Mariah United Methodist Church. Johnny’s education began at Goldberry Elementary School and continued through Hill High School, culminating in his studies at Mountain View College.
A Time to Live
On August 16, 1971, Johnny married his beloved wife, Willia Mauldin. Together, they enjoyed a remarkable 53 years of marriage, during which they welcomed two sons, Johnia and Jonathan Gee. Johnny’s greatest joy came from his role as a grandfather, a title his grandchildren lovingly bestowed upon him: Pawpaw.
After serving in the military, Johnny embarked on a fulfilling career that included positions at Dresser Industries and Bell Helicopter, where he worked as a machinist until his well-deserved retirement.
A Time to Mourn
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; Orin and Bertha Lee and his siblings: Mary Alice, Gene Paul, Lawrence, and Frances; Son; Johnia Their absence is deeply felt by those who loved him.
A Time to Transition
On Wednesday, May 29, 2025, Johnny was called home by his Heavenly Father. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, including his devoted wife, Willia R., his son Jonathan (Jessica), and his beloved grandchildren: Joshua, Johnny, and Jasmine, extended Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Martin, along with a multitude of cousins, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
