

Johnny Lee Miles was born in Terrell, TX the third oldest of six children of Mary Lewis Miles and Ruben Miles Sr. He graduated from St. Peters Catholic School while working his way through to pay for his education, from there he went to Bishop College where he received his Bachelor's Degree and was drafted into the Armed Forces (Army) June 12, 1953.
There after he was introduced to Johnnie Mae Ross by her sister Shirley Ann Robinson and his brother Claude Miles in 1956. They were married December 1, 1956 fro 63 years until her death of August 1, 2020 from that union they raised six children: Juanita Williams (Harold); Johnny Ray Lockhart (Rosie); Timothy Holmes (Clemmie); Sherry Miles; Donna Womack (David); Deborah Warner (Clarence).
Johnny Miles accepted Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. He later continued following Christ at The Exciting Singing Hills Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. H.E. Anderson SR., Senior Pastor where he was the senior usher for over twenty-four years.
Johnny Miles was an excellent dancer and it was often said that he and Johnny Mae were the envy on the dance floor because two were so smooth together. He was an excellent cook, BBQ was his favorite thing to do, he enjoyed fishing amongst other things.
Preceding him in death were both parents Ruben Miles Sr. and Mary Miles, devoted sister Maxine Miles; brother CJ Miles; Claude Miles; Ruben Miles then sister Dorothy Miles preceded him less than 24 hours after his death in addition to 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Johnny Lee Miles you will forever and always be loved and missed.
