Johnny Morales Jr., age 52, was born on August 27, 1974, in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in the Oak Cliff neighborhood. He passed away on September 23, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who loved him deeply.
Johnny will be remembered for his big smile, generous heart, charisma, and old-school sense of respect. He was a man of his word—dependable, hardworking, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was deeply dedicated to his craft as a barber at Alton’s Old School in Lakewood and took great pride in his work. In his free time, Johnny enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan, eating at Herrera’s Tex-Mex in Oak Cliff, and spending time with his beloved dog, Hennessy "Henny".
Above all, Johnny was a family man. He found his greatest happiness in his wife and children and showed his love through the many ways he cared for them. Whether making repairs around the house, working on a vehicle, offering advice, or simply making sure the people he loved were taken care of, Johnny was an anchor and a leader within his family.
His generosity extended beyond his home. Johnny often helped his neighbors by cutting their grass, taking them to appointments, and lending a hand wherever it was needed. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others earned him the love and respect of those fortunate enough to know him.
Johnny is survived by his parents, John Morales and Blanca E. Perez; his beloved wife, Johanna Morales; his sons, Antonio Ramirez, Abel Morales, and Adrian Morales; his daughters, Desserey Morales and Amber Morales; and his granddaughter, Bella Lopez. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Morales and Jacob Morales, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Johnny leaves behind a legacy in his family, especially in the values and lessons he passed on to his children. Through his example, he taught the importance of hard work, keeping your word, helping others, and taking care of the people you love.
His presence brought warmth, laughter, strength, and love to the lives of so many. The memories he created, the people he helped, and the lessons he shared will live on through those who knew and loved him.
Johnny will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
