Jonathan James Ronk, 51, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 31, 2026.
Jonathan was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on December 22, 1974, to Marilyn and James (Jim) Ronk. He graduated from Naperville High School in Naperville, Illinois.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
Jonathan married Sandra Denise Trevino on June 21, 2003, and together they raised two children, Jacob James Ronk and Paige Alexandra Ronk. Jonathan and Sandra shared 23 years of marriage.
Jonathan worked for AT&T for more than 20 years and rose to the level of Human Resources Leadership Development Manager. He enjoyed playing soccer, working on home improvement projects, researching his family history and tracing his Luxembourg ancestry, but above all, he treasured spending time with his wife Sandra and their children, Jacob and Paige. He was an active parishioner at both Christ the King Catholic Church and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He loved attending Mass on Sundays and looked forward to it each week.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn and James (Jim) Ronk, his father-in-law, Carlos Trevino, and his grandparents, Clara and Lawrence Weyker and Eleanor and Lester Ronk.
Jonathan is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; his son, Jacob and daughter, Paige. He is also survived by his brother, Lawrence (Heather), Noah and Hunter Ronk; his sister, Marla (Jon), Luke, Ben, and Grant Thomas; his mother-in-law, Christine Trevino; his sisters-in-law, Diana, Karla, and Michelle Trevino and their families as well as a large extended family from Wisconsin. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
A visitation and viewing will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220, on Friday, September 11, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75225, on Saturday, September 12, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception, also at Christ the King Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Jonathan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Jonathan’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Lighthouse Senior Living and Omega Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided to Jonathan and his family. Their kindness and dedication will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
