At the age of 16 he married his loving wife, Esperanza Flores on December 20,1957. Of which they have shared a wonderful marriage for 63 years. From that union 5 children were raised and loved.
Jose was a man that worked hard to support his family. Even in the hard times of life, he always wore a smile on his face. There was no extent he would not go to take care of his family. By the grace of God and limited resources he went from a welder to an accomplished insurance man owning his own business. As time went by, he was called by God to the ministry, first to Evangelism and then to pastoring a church. He was blessed with the gift of wisdom and understanding of the word of God.
Everyone that met him felt special. Jose always made sure that every single one of them knew that they were important to him.
He was a father that made sure his children and those he met knew about the love of God. He not only spoke of it, he lived it everyday of his life. He instilled in all of us, a good foundation, to stand on the word of God.
Jose is survived by his wife of 63 years Esperanza Calderon, 5 children; Eldora Wood (Allen), Virginia Adams (Mark), Josue Calderon, Teresa Matthews, Sandy Rangel (David). 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brothers; Jesse Calderon (Lilly), Fremensio Calderon.
