Jose ceferino Cardoza, 86, passed away July 22, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. He was born April 7, 1938 in Matamoros, Mexico to Guadalupe Ceferino Laura and Guadalupe Cardoza.
In his spare time, Joe-la-Fletcha enjoyed gathering with family, friends, music, and delicious food. Celebrations filled with love and laughter resulted in special memories that last a lifetime. He especially enjoyed a well earned reward for all of his hard work and determination. Animo!
His family and friends will always remember him as a strong, dedicated provider and family man. He was an outstanding storyteller to anyone with an ear to hear. Jose was a jokester with a contagious smile. He was often compared to gravity since so many were drawn to him. El favorito!
He is preceded in death by his handsome son, Jose Ceferino Cardoza, Jr. (Joey) who is very loved and missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Rita Liscano Cardoza; son, Genaro, Sr. and his wife, Carol Cardoza; daughters, Monica and Polo Lopez, Sonia Marie Torres, Maria I. and Jorge Reyes; grandchildren, Amber, Vanessa, Nick, Paul, Celina, Joey, Roland, Patrick, Sr,, Genaro Jr., Emily, Marcus, Buddy, Eladio, Sr., Stephen, Alyssa, Carlito, Valentine; great-grandchildren, Bella, Severiano, Eva, Amaris, Daniel, Jose, Eladio, Jr., Frankie, Ezra, Zariel, Patrick, Jr., Amelia, Reynaldo, Noah, Mila Rose, Lucas, and Isaiah; extended family, Chris Lopez, Christian Prado, Victor Chavez, Stephanie Nasbet, Samantha Sereseroz, Jacky Calderon, Adriana Reyna and numerous nieces and nephews.
