“Buenos dias Buenos dias familia. Actitud, alegria y culatzo.
Somos hombres o payasos? Aqui andamos correteando a la ardilla. A que venimos? A aprender y divertirnos.”

With deep respect, we remember the life of Jose Antonio Moncada, born March 29, 1978, and who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 48. A resident of Rockwall, Texas, he left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him: for his unmistakable energy, his courage in the face of life, and his unique way of making others feel good, always with a smile ready to show.
From childhood, Jose Antonio Moncada was a true whirlwind: restless, sparkling, always joking and sparking laughter. That overflowing joy also came with a personality that never went unnoticed; even so, he was his mom’s love and pride. Bright and capable, he often stood out in his grades, even if his behavior sometimes got him into trouble. With the firmness of a mother who guides and shapes, she would tell him that if he failed a grade he would go to seminary, and in eighth grade he was enrolled in seminary—a chapter that remained part of his early story.
Later on, he studied engineering, though he did not graduate. With the determination of someone who doesn’t give up and the drive of a tireless worker, in 2005 he started his own company and, step by step, built his path forward, making his way through hard work, endurance, and a clear will to get ahead.
At the center of his life were his two children, Valentino and Fernanda. They were, without a doubt, the great love of his life. Jose Antonio Moncada was an exceptional dad to them: close, present, full of humor, and with a big heart. He loved making them laugh and taking them to the lake, sharing with them that intrepid spirit that defined him; in Fernanda, especially, that same fearlessness he carried inside was reflected.
Passionate about motorcycles and basketball, he also enjoyed getting together, celebrating, and having a good time with friends and family. To many, he was “the life of the party”: someone who lit up any gathering with his good spirits, natural charm, and a contagious attitude. What remains is the memory of a man loved by all, quick to laugh and radiant in presence, who found reasons to smile and share them with those around him.
Those who ever heard him send his video messages fondly remember his personal stamp—his very own way of greeting and urging others to live with spirit:
“Good morning, good morning, family. Attitude, joy, and culatzo. First what pays off, and then what messes you up.
Are we men or clowns? Here we are chasing the squirrel. What did we come for? To learn and to have fun.”
Visitation will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247, US, on October 25, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. May his memory endure with the strength of his character, the joy of his humor, and the warmth of his presence: a beloved, brave, adventurous, hardworking, and resilient man, who knew how to turn life—with all it brings—into a space to learn and also to enjoy.
