In his spare time, he enjoyed reading the newspaper each day. He was a devout baseball and football fan which gave him a great deal of enjoyment. During football season, he quietly rooted for the Dallas Cowboys and celebrated when the team was doing well. He loved taking trips to nearby Louisiana to visit his family and also appreciated the opportunity to travel to Mexico to visit his family there as well.
