Uncle Joe, 79, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, in Dallas Texas. Joe was born April 11, 1946, to William Frank Emerson and Ruby Mae Cobb in Caddo Mills, Texas. Joe graduated Highland Park high school in 1965. He went on to serve in the United States Airforce where he was Honorably discharged in 1971. While overseas, Joe fell in love and eventually married Minnie. He lived out his life overlooking white rock lake with downtown Dallas as its backdrop. Joe loved classic cars, dogs & cats, being part of whatever gathering was going on at the time, eating at Sheryl's for home cooked dinners every chance he had, and attending Watermark church services.
A special thank you to Betty and Emma at the Christ House, who made Joe's last few years there filled with Love, laughs, good food, and excellent healthcare.
Joe is predeceased by his Father William Frank Emerson, Mother Ruby Mae Cobb, Brother William Frank Emerson Jr., and Sister Ruby Jean Emerson. Joe will be laid to rest Friday September 12, 2025 - 12:30 pm beside his Minnie at Sparkman/Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. Joe will not be forgotten and spoken often of.
