Joseph James Kiran , beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on August 31, 2011. Raised in New York City, Joe attended local schools prior to attending the University of Maryland where he met his wife of 52 years. Joe served in the United States Army and was a member of the Honor Guard. Joe first began his long and distinguished sales career in New York at Union Carbide, then was employed at American Cryogenics in Atlanta, Georgia and joined Trinity Industries in Dallas in 1969. Joe is survived by his wife, Joan Dillon Kiran, his sons Matthew Kiran of Celina, Texas, Andrew Kiran of Coppell, Texas and daughter Nancy Been of Spring, Texas as well as eight grand children and one great- grandson. Mass will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the North Texas Food Bank.
