Joe Frank Schreiber died November 4, 2010. He is preceded in death by his wife Iola and grandnephew Adam Prinz and is survived by his sister Jeanette Prinz, cousin Carolyn Brown, niece Karen Marshall and husband Billy, nephew Steve Prinz and wife Debby, and grandnephews Andrew Prinz, Jason Marshall and Michael Marshall. Joe was born April 29, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Alice Schreiber. He moved to Dallas, Texas with his family in 1930. Joe attended Woodrow Wilson High School and later served his country in the United States Coast Guard. After completing his service with the Coast Guard, Joe attended Southern Methodist University where he earned an Engineering degree. Following graduation, Joe accepted a position with Gates Corporation where he worked for 33 years until his retirement. Joe had a lifelong love of sailing and was a charter member of the Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club. He enjoyed trips to Mexico and spending time with his many friends. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 8th at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home.
