Josephine H. Barrett, age 81 of Carrollton, TX, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s disease surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, August 30th, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents Trinidad Estrada and Carolina Luna; her sister Alice Longoria; and nephew Steven Longoria.
Josephine loved to love on people. She sewed clothes for her dear ones and embroidered sayings and images onto pillows. Her hands were rarely still. She also shared her love of baking such as her famous apple pies for her granddaughters, pineapple upside down cakes and homemade icing.
For many years Josephine worked as a nanny, it suited her servant heart. She was a hardworking homemaker that took pride in a clean home, and a well-fed, sharp looking husband. In her spare time she belonged to three bowling leagues, where she was well known for bowling 300s.
Josephine is survived by her husband James Barrett, daughter Michelle B. Kelley, son David Barrett, granddaughters Peyton, Hunter, Devyn Kelley and Kydalyn Barrett-Stoker, great grandchildren Liam C. Hernandez, Aurora and Ella Kelley, and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
