Josephine M. Bausone

Josephine (Jo) Marie Bausone was born on April 12,1920 in Chicago, IL and passed away March 17, 2016 in Mansfield, TX at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Bausone, parents Pietro and Mattia (Vicari) Sciortino, and brother Joe Shortino. She is survived by her sons Ross Bausone and wife Karen, Pete Bausone and wife Susan, daughters Patty Butler and husband Les and Suzette Rogers, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jo loved her family immensely and found great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thank you to her granddaughter, Nicole Kelso, for her devotion to her grandmother. Jo moved to Texas with her family in 1964, where she and her husband owned their own business. Jo was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking, especially raviolis, canollis, bread, pizza and her famous chicken soup. At Christmas, she would make dozens of assorted cookies and gave them as Christmas gifts to her many friends and family. Jo enjoyed dancing. After the loss of her husband, she joined a dance group, The High Steppers. Jo didn't play cards but enjoyed a good game of Bingo. Through the years, Jo made many life long friends. Some she has had for over 50 years.Jo will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a very special lady and made the world a better place.
