Josephine Marie DeFrank, passed away on May 30, 2025. “Josie” was born in Dallas, TX on May 8, 1971, where she lived most of her life. She grew up surrounded by a loving family who are deeply saddened by her passing. Josie had a generous spirit and cared deeply for her family.
Josie completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX, and went on to attain her Masters of Science in Health Care Management at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Josie is survived by her devoted parents, Daniel Barron, Jr. and Margaret Barron; her beloved daughter, Ann Marie DeFrank; her steadfast brother and sister, Daniel Barron, III and Emily Kathleen Ley, who stood by her in every way during her long illness. Finally, Josie is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service is scheduled at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
