Josephine R. Martinez, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2025, at the age of 91, surrounded by her family in her home. Josephine was born November 15, 1933 in San Antonio, TX to Timoteo and Cira Rodriguez. Josephine was a devoted wife to Gonzalo Martinez for 57 years. Josephine was a homemaker and the heart and soul of her family. She was an active member at St. Mary’s of Carmel.
Josephine is preceded in death by her husband Gonzalo, sons Fidencio and Jerry, and her daughter Christina. She is survived by her children, Alice Espinoza, Mary Martin (m. Randy Martin), David Martinez, Esther Miramontes (m. Sam Miramontes), Delia Castillo (m. Arnold Castillo) and Daniel Martinez (m. Lisa). She had 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
