Joy was so much more than just my program manager—she was my office mom and my very first introduction to the importance of representation and support here at the firm. From the start, she made me feel seen and valued. We always joked about our different sorority backgrounds in the Divine Nine, and of course, our football rivalry—me as an Eagles fan and her as a Cowboys fan, brought plenty of laughs and playful banter.

Since joining the firm, I’ve faced some tough times, and there was never a moment when Joy wasn’t there to check in on me and offer her unwavering support. Losing Joy is an immense loss for all of us. She truly will be missed.

Thank you, Joy, for being the family I never had since moving out to Texas. I will always cherish your love, support, humor, and even our football rivalry. Your impact on my life and so many others will never be forgotten.

Your smile, your days of joking, your days of saying, what is he doing Junior 😂 will definitely be miss. I love you and I will see you again, one day. Rest In Peace Joy your spirit will still lives here.

You were the person that started my career and gave me a chance to succeed at JPMC. I wouldn't be here growing and becoming better everyday  without your guidance at JPMC. We had so many memories in that Summer and I'll remember it forever. Thank you for everything Joy.

Oh, Joy, I can't believe I'm writing this. It took a few close calls and text messages before it truly sank in that this is real.

I wish we had more time, more inside jokes, more deep conversations about everything, just more. But heaven couldn't wait.

Rest peacefully, and keep a watchful eye over your family.

To Joy's loved ones, thank you for sharing her with us. She will be deeply missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Joy helped open the door to a first internship out of college and the start of a professional career. Her guidance and support made a lasting positive impact that is still shaping my life today. Please accept heartfelt condolences and know you and your family are in our thoughts during this difficult time.

Oh, Joy, words can't express how grateful I am that we have crossed paths. You taught me so many lessons I use every day. I admire your boldness, your discretion, and your love for your family... and the Cowboys lol. You get your rest. 

My condolences to your dear son Jarren, your parents, and the rest of your family. I know she'll leave a hole in your hearts forever. Have peace that she'll be in eternal peace with her father in heaven.

The friend I never knew I needed, but one I’ll be forever grateful for. The impact you made on my life will stay with me always. Thank you for the unconditional love you showed my children and for the way you spoke about your family, as if we were part of it too. Your kindness, wisdom, and friendship were a gift, and your memory will live on in all of us.

My sincerest condolences are extended to the Nichols and Murphy family. Joy has been one of my best frie.ds for almost 30 years. We have laughed, fought, prayed and consoled one another. She is what l would consider a true woman of God and a great friend. My life will definately be incomplete without her. Family please be encouraged by the fact that our loss is Heaven's gain and we will see her again.

You always included me and for that I will forever be grateful.

Every time I see the Tea Around Town bus I'll think of our trip. It was fun dressing up and having cucumber sandwiches while sipping tea. Thank you Joy for allowing me to be apart of your life.

She was my friend and more like a sister to me. No matter how much time passed when we caught up it was always a happy moment.  She literally taught me how to advocate for myself as an educator.  I was always so proud of her.  We celebrated our children together and   our boys becoming men.  We shared secrets that we knew were safe with each other.    It just seems so unfair that she's gone.  Just the other day we texted and she was so proud that my son graduated.  I miss you dear sister and will say as much as it hurts my heart to lose someone as kind and as jazzy as you I know you are at rest for your job here was done.  May the arms of our blessed  savior caress you in your blessed sweet repose.  Well done thy great and faithful servant well done!  Love Morgan
