Mrs. Joyce Mae Florence-Hider was born February 1, 1922, to Hattie and Homer Florence in Jefferson, Texas. She attended Greater Garth Chapel in South Dallas and served on the usher board. She worked at Saint Rita's Catholic School as a cafeteria worker for many years. She also did domestic work. She had been retired for 34 years. On November 12, 2016 Mrs. Joyce was welcomed with open arms into her eternal home by her brothers, Mr. Jesse Florence, Mr. Fred Florence, Mr. Thomas Thompson, Mr. Ruben Florence, Mr. Allen Florence and Mr. Tommie Florence; sisters, Mrs. Mattie Blow and Essie Evans; and her daughter, Margie Faye Davis. Mrs. Joyce leaves to forever remember her Life, Legacy and Love, are her daughters Mattie Hanspard and Vivian Williams (Avery); son Melvin (Doug) Hider, daughter-in-law Ruby Hider and son-in-laws James Hanspard and Ronald Williams. Grandchildren Bridget Wright, Douglas Hanspard, Keith Hanspard and Fallon Avery; seven great grandchildren Ashley, Andre, Zavion, Xaviar, Yasmine, Naiya (Joy) and Madison; one great-great grandchild Bria Hider; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will always cherish Mrs. Joyce Mae Florence-Hiders' Life, Legacy and Love.
