Joyce Ann (Wooding) Sage Smith

Chenoa was, and still is, a small town. Joyce even attended school in an old-style one room schoolhouse. She went on to study and earned an Associate’s Degree, and worked for over 35 years as an accountant for the Immigration and Naturalization Service (now Homeland Security). After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her friends playing Bridge.

In 1960, Joyce was married to Delbert Sage. They moved to Washington State where they had their two boys, Dale and Larry Sage. Later in her life, Joyce divorced Delbert, and was widowed twice. In 1965 she moved to Dallas, and lived in the same home until earlier this year when she needed a bit more care.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Dale Sage and wife Stephanie, and Larry Sage and wife Barbara; granddaughters, Karyn, Courtney, and Kendall Sage; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 31 from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will follow, beginning at 2:00 P.M., both at Grove Hill Funeral Home
