

Joycelyn Charmaine Jackson was born October 3, 1956 in Abilene, Texas to the parents of Jeanette and Willie G. Boyd. Joyce accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Mt. Calvary Family Services under the leadership of Pastor Cameron Taylor.
Joyce was formerly educated in the Dallas Independent School District and went on to receive her patient care certification from the Nursing Aide Academy at Baylor Hospital at the age of 18. Joyce took great pride in taking care of others and spent the last 20 years of her career as a lab technician at Walmart Optical.
Joyce loved dancing and spending time with family and friends. She never had children, but loved her nieces and nephews as her own. As the oldest child, her love of family, especially her mother and siblings was constant and unwavering.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Jackson Jr, father Willie G. Boyd, stepfather Elijah Kirk Jr., brother Eric A. Kirk and grandparents.
She is survived by her mother Jeanette Kirk, two sisters Alicia (late John), Rhonda (Randall), five brothers, Victor (Carolyn), Richard (Bella), Greg, Stephen (Leitha), Patrick (Charlesette). Two uncles Ray Mason (Regina), and Edward Mason. Two aunts Mary Evans of Abilene, TX and Mary Barnes of Dallas, TX. A special sister-in-law Louise Jones and close friend Patricia Coats and a host of other relatives and friends.
