Born on December 15, 1959, Juan was a man whose life was defined by his deep faith and his steadfast dedication to serving others. He poured his passion into his culinary career, retiring in 1994 as the head chef at the historic Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas. Through his work, he brought joy, warmth, and fellowship to the tables of countless people.
Beyond his distinguished career, Juan’s true legacy lies in his spiritual life. A profound and devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church since 2009, he lived his beliefs through action. He was deeply involved with ACTS retreats and the KOLBE prison ministry, carrying the light of Christ into places that needed it most. Many knew Juan as a spiritual anchor, widely respected for his immense strength in prayer. He touched immeasurable lives by simply doing what he loved to do most: serve.
Juan is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Luz Maria Guzman, who preceded him in death in 2015. Their beautiful legacy of love continues on through the family they built together. He leaves behind four children and seven grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory, his recipes, and his lessons of faith in their hearts.

Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas 75220, on August 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Calvary Hill Main Mausoleum North Chapel on August 8, 2026, at 11:00 am, with committal immediately following.
